Job summary

North American Dental Group (NADG) is seeking a full-time EFDA or Dental Assistant in Pittsburgh with a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The role emphasizes delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the dental team.

Responsibilities include chair-side assistance, patient preparation, instrument sterilization, radiographs, and strict OSHA/HIPAA compliance. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, and more. Schedule: Mon-Thu with occasional Friday mornings.

Qualifications

• Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists, including charting and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history and ensures forms and signatures in dental software.
• Reviews daily schedule to set up trays and instruments.
• Prepares patients, sterilizes/disinfects instruments, and assists during dental procedures under OSHA guidance.
• Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follows OSHA and HIPAA guidelines and maintains required registrations.

Pay range

• EFDA - $32/an or higher dependent upon experience
• Dental Assistant- $20/an hour or higher dependent upon experience

Smiling from Open to Close

• Monday-Thursday 7:45 AM to 5 PM (with one hour lunch)
• Two Fridays a month 7:45 AM to 1 PM

Responsibilities

Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. Dental Assistant will help prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist in restorative dentistry.

Skills Required to Make a Great \"Impression\" on Our Team

• Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
• Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on the job training
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates
• Radiography/ X-RAY certification for respective state
• CPR Certification required
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patient.
