Job summary

The Airway Dentists - The Heights seeks a Registered Dental Assistant to join our Houston practice. You will take histories, record vital signs, assist dentists, scan with iTero, prepare rooms and sterilize instruments, and support patient scheduling and follow-up care.

We value a friendly, energetic team member with at least 2 years of experience, CPR and state license, Invisalign experience preferred, and strong patient service skills. Compensation is $20-25 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Dental Assistant experience.
• Invisalign experience preferred.
• State license and CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and medical equipment.
• Proficient in taking dental radiographs.
• Excellent patient service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of back-office duties and systems.
• Take and record medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
• Assist the dentist during pre-operative and operative procedures.
• Scan patients using iTero scanner; assist with crowns and bridges.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Provide post-operative instructions to patients.
• Follow up with patients to ensure satisfaction.
• Understand Airway, Invisalign and general dentistry treatments.
• Place temporary crowns, attachments, buttons, and fixed expanders.
• Coordinate online scheduling, consults, and virtual appointments.
• Clean suction traps, run cleaners in equipment, and order supplies.

Position: Registered Dental Assistant

The Airway Dentists' mission is to provide exceptional dental care and rid the world of sleep disordered breathing. With offices in The Woodforest, Atascocita, Cypress, Friendswood, Spring, Katy and Sugar Land (and more to come), we provide orthodontic, sleep apnea, and general dentistry services. Our clinical team is led by our co-founders, Dr. Kyle Hale, Dr. Kalli Hale, and Dr. Matt Hicks. We are hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to join us in redefining the standard of care in dentistry.

The Opportunity:

Duties include:

• Creating, managing, coordinating, and following up with online scheduling, consults, and virtual appointments
• Cleaning suction traps, running cleaners in equipment, and ordering supplies

The ideal candidate’s background:

• We prefer candidates with at least 2 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant
• Invisalign experience preferred
• State License and CPR certification required
• Knowledge of dental instruments and medical equipment
• Proficient in taking accurate dental radiographs
• Outstanding organizational, communication, and patient service skills
• Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of situations and people
• Exhibits confidence and enthusiasm for new challenges
• Must have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn new dental technologies and techniques
