Job summary

The Airway Dentists – Bellaire is hiring a full-time Registered Dental Assistant to join our expanding practice. You will support dentists, manage back-office tasks, and assist in Invisalign and general dentistry procedures in a fast-paced environment.

We offer competitive pay ($20-25/hr, based on experience), merit-based bonus eligibility, and growth opportunities within multiple offices across the Houston area.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • Invisalign experience preferred.
  • State License and CPR certification required.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and medical equipment.
  • Proficient in taking accurate dental radiographs.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and patient service skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of situations and people.
  • Exhibits confidence and enthusiasm for new challenges.
  • Must have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn new dental technologies and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of back office duties and systems.
  • Take and record medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
  • Assist the dentist during pre-operative and operative procedures.
  • Scan patients for procedures using iTero scanner, pre- and post-op work, crowns and bridges.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
  • Provide post-operative instructions to patients.
  • Follow up with patients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Understand Airway, Invisalign and general dentistry treatments.
  • Place temporary crowns, attachments, buttons, and fixed expanders.
  • Create/manage/coordinate/follow up with online scheduling, consults, and virtual appointments.
  • Clean suction traps, run cleaners in equipment, and order supplies.

Position: Registered Dental Assistant

Who we are:

The Airway Dentists’ mission is to provide exceptional dental care and rid the world of sleep disordered breathing. With offices in The Woodforest, Atascocita, Cypress, Friendswood, The Heights, Katy and Sugar Land (and more to come), we provide orthodontic, sleep apnea, and general dentistry services. Our clinical team is led by our co-founders, Dr. Kyle Hale, Dr. Kalli Hale, and Dr. Matt Hicks. We are hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to join us in redefining the standard of care in dentistry.

The ideal candidate:

Will have a passion for helping patients and supporting our dentists. Candidates should be friendly, energetic, motivated, ambitious, self-starters, dependable, and organized with a cheerful attitude.

The Opportunity:

The ideal candidate’s background:
  • We prefer candidates with at least 2 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Invisalign experience preferred
  • State License and CPR certification required
