Job summary

The Airway Dentists is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join our growing Bellaire team. This full-time position supports dentists, handles back-office duties, and delivers high-quality patient care in a fast-paced dental practice.

Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years of dental assisting experience, CPR and state license, and comfort with Invisalign. The role offers competitive pay and growth opportunities as we expand our network of offices in the Houston area.

Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • Invisalign experience preferred.
  • State license and CPR certification required.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and radiographs.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of back office duties and systems.
  • Record medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
  • Assist the dentist during pre-operative and operative procedures.
  • Scan patients for procedures using iTero scanner and manage cases.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
  • Provide post-operative instructions to patients and follow up for satisfaction.
  • Coordinate online scheduling, consults, and virtual appointments.
  • Order supplies and maintain equipment cleanliness.

The Airway Dentists - Bellaire (Opening November 2026)

Position: Registered Dental Assistant

Who we are:

The Airway Dentists’ mission is to provide exceptional dental care and rid the world of sleep disordered breathing. With offices in The Woodforest, Atascocita, Cypress, Friendswood, The Heights, Katy and Sugar Land (and more to come), we provide orthodontic, sleep apnea, and general dentistry services. Our clinical team is led by our co-founders, Dr. Kyle Hale, Dr. Kalli Hale, and Dr. Matt Hicks. We are hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to join us in redefining the standard of care in dentistry.

The ideal candidate:

Will have a passion for helping patients and supporting our dentists. Candidates should be friendly, energetic, motivated, ambitious, self-starters, dependable, and organized with a cheerful attitude.

The Opportunity:
  • Full-time, paid Dental Assistant position to assist skilled Airway Dentists
  • Competitive compensation: $20-25/hr depending on experience
  • Eligible for merit-based bonus

Duties include:
  • Taking ownership of back office duties and systems
  • Taking and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs
  • Assisting the dentist during pre-operative and operative procedures
  • Scanning patients for procedures using iTero scanner, pre- and post-op work, crowns and bridges
  • Preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments
  • Providing post-operative instructions to patients
  • Following up with patients to ensure the highest level of satisfaction
  • Understanding each phase of our Airway, Invisalign and general dentistry treatments
  • Placing temporary crowns, attachments, buttons, and fixed expanders
  • Creating, managing, coordinating, and following up with online scheduling, consults, and virtual appointments
  • Cleaning suction traps, running cleaners in equipment, and ordering supplies
The ideal candidate’s background:
  • We prefer candidates with at least 2 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Invisalign experience preferred
  • State License and CPR certification required
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and medical equipment
  • Proficient in taking accurate dental radiographs
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and patient service skills
  • Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of situations and people
  • Exhibits confidence and enthusiasm for new challenges
  • Must have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn new dental technologies and techniques
