Smile Design Silver Springs, part of the Heartland Dental network, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in Ocala, Florida. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, supporting dentists, and maintaining efficient office workflows.

You will assist with patient education, health history reviews, radiographs, and chairside support while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA standards. Join a team committed to learning and patient-first care.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state dental practice act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and data safeguards awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, ensuring comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to support quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists per state act.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
