Qualifications

• Graduated from a Dental Assisting Program.
• 1 year of 4 handed chairside dental assisting preferred.
• Willing to progress to Dental Assistant II with formal education.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Good customer relations and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with clinical and clerical procedures.
• Assist front desk duties.
• Assist dentist at chair side.
• Take and record vital signs and oral histories.
• Understand OSHA infection control procedures.
• Answer calls and schedule appointments.
• Prepare patients for dental exams and charting.
• Take radiographs under supervision.
• Prepare instrument trays and operatories.
• Maintain autoclave operations and MSDS records.
• Enter patient data in the electronic health record system.
