Laing Family Dentistry in Van Wert, Ohio is seeking a Dental Assistant for a full-time role with a starting rate of $19-21 per hour plus bonuses. You will work closely with doctors to support a wide range of procedures and help provide a comfortable, informative patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ohio Dental Radiographer Certificate must be obtained prior to taking X-rays.
• CPR/BLS certification is required or willingness to obtain.
• Willingness to maintain required certifications and pursue continuing education.
• Previous dental assisting experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors with a wide variety of dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment.
• Take diagnostic dental X-rays as permitted by training and Ohio requirements.
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation.
• Follow infection-control, sterilization, OSHA, and safety protocols.
• Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
• Be willing to cross-train and help elsewhere as needed.
