Heartland Dental in Severna Park is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team. The role offers $18–$26 per hour depending on experience and benefits; you will greet patients, review health history, take x-rays, and provide chairside support.

You’ll use Dentrix, maintain safety with OSHA/CDC guidelines, manage supplies, and collaborate to improve office workflow. Minimum qualifications include dental assistant certification or X-ray certification, strong communication and organization,

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, educate during treatment.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x‑rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols per OSHA & CDC.
• Manage supplies and place orders; support office workflow.
