Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) seeks a Dental Assistant for the Otero County Processing Medical location in Chaparral, New Mexico. The role supports the dentist by prepping patients, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining schedules while upholding patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, NM/compact state certification for dental assisting, CPR certification, and a NM/TX driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months clinical dental assistant experience with current NM/compact state certification.
• Current CPR certification; 30 hours CE every triennial renewal.
• Valid driver’s license in NM or TX.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist in performing services by preparing patients in chair and handling required instruments, equipment, and dental plastics.
• Sterilize instruments and keep the office stocked with required supplies.
• Arrange and maintain appointment schedule.
• Keep records of patients. Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records; observe applicable HIPPA rules.
