Job summary

JWCH Institute, Inc. is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists in primary dental care, sterilize, prepare instruments, and maintain infection control across patient care areas.

Responsibilities include chair-side assistance with four-handed dentistry, taking radiographs, coronal polishing, and front-office tasks like scheduling and insurance verification. California regulatory compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of accredited courses in dental assisting is required.
• Radiation Safety Certificate is required.
• Completion of an 8-hour infection control course per California Dental Board guidelines, plus CPR and First Aid.
• Coronal Polish Certificate will be required as of January 1, 2025.
• Knowledge of oral health education for various patient groups is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists in chair-side care using four-handed dentistry.
• Prepare procedures and equipment per protocols and dentist directions.
• Complete digital radiographs and intraoral photography.
• Perform duties under supervision including impressions and polishing.
• Ensure proper disposal and infection control in all areas.
• Front office support: scheduling, verification of insurance, patient flow.
