Johnson Health Center (JHC) seeks a Dental Assistant to support the Director of Dentistry, Staff Dentist, and Dental Hygienist in patient care, charting, and administrative tasks. You will prepare patients, update records, and help maintain a smooth clinical flow.

Responsibilities include chairside assistance, patient education on oral hygiene, assisting with X-rays, sterilization, and inventory management. The role requires teamwork and adherence to OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Assist the Dentist and Dental Hygienist in chairside duties and patient care.
• Educate patients on dental disease, prevention, and home care.
• Serve as liaison to patients in telephone communications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares dental patients for treatment, updating medical history and vital signs.
• Obtains diagnostic digital X-rays (bitewings, periapical, panorex) as prescribed.
• Performs dental prophylaxis and fluoride varnish applications as directed.
• Maintains sterilization cycles for instruments and keeps operatories stocked.
