Job summary

Heartland Dental LLC is seeking a Dental Assistant for Family Dental Care of Olathe to support clinicians, take x-rays, assist during procedures, and maintain a clean, safe operatory.

You will use Dentrix for scheduling, review health history, manage supplies, and participate in training and compliance with OSHA/PHI. The role offers stable leadership and opportunities for growth within Heartland Dental.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients at the start of their dental journey and educate them throughout treatment
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures following the state dental practice act
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment rooms adhering to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidance
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed
• Collaborate with providers to optimize office workflow and Heartland Dental systems
