Job summary

Dental Care of Citrus Groves, supported by Heartland Dental, is seeking a Part-time Dental Assistant to join our team. Schedule includes Mon/Tue/Wed shifts with patient-centered care and emphasis on safety and quality.

You will assist chairside, review health histories, operate Dentrix, and support a smooth office workflow. Ideal candidates have 1+ year experience, valid RHS and coronal polishing certificates, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of chairside experience in a general dentistry setting.
• Dentrix or other dental software experience.
• RHS and coronal polishing certificates required.
• Strong communication and ability to learn workflow.
• Supportive and positive attitude.
• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
• Possession of dental assistant and/or x-ray certification if required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients throughout treatment journey.
• Review health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostics (iTero 3D, photography).
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols (OSHA/CDC).
• Manage supplies and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow.
