Job summary

Heartland Dental's West End Dental Care is seeking a Dental Assistant to welcome patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide four-handed chairside support to dentists. You will use Dentrix to schedule and record data, and ensure rooms are prepared in line with OSHA and CDC safety guidelines.

This on-site, full-time role offers competitive hourly pay around $20+ per hour, benefits, and opportunities for growth within Heartland Dental's network, with training and ongoing education

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments.
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA/CDC).
• Manage supply and inventory and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
