How You’ll Make a Difference

As an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, you will perform duties to create lasting impressions and build trust with patients, including:

• Assisting with patient flow and supporting the dental team
• Assisting doctors during treatment procedures
• Preparing operatory rooms and sterilizing equipment
• Supporting patient charting and education on oral health
• Taking dental radiographs and performing expanded functions as certified
• Maintaining safety and compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulations
• Monitoring laboratory cases and managing supplies

Minimum Requirements

• Current Dental Assistant license and radiology certification as required by state
• CPR or BLS certification
• At least 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant
• Proficiency in chairside assisting and sterilization techniques
• State certification in expanded functions (if applicable)
