Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest is seeking a Dental Assistant for Valley River Dental in Eugene, OR. You will provide direct support to dentists, hygienists and other staff, assist in patient care, prepare instruments and radiographs, and maintain infection control and patient comfort.

Adherence to state rules and Kaiser guidelines is required. The role is on-site with an on-call schedule and competitive hourly pay; prior dental assisting experience or ADA program graduate preferred; Oregon

Qualifications

• Licensed to assist in dental procedures and comply with state rules.
• Completion of ADA-accredited dental assisting program or 1 year experience.
• Current Oregon certifications listed above and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Support dentists, hygienists and staff during care and procedures.
• Assist in radiographs, instrument prep, sterilization and record keeping.
• Maintain infection control, prepare operatory and ensure patient comfort.
• Assist with ortho prep, materials handling and post-procedure care.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Dental Radiation Proficiency Certificate (Oregon)

Pit and Fissure Sealant Certificate (Oregon)

Expanded Function Dental Assistant Certificate (Oregon)
