Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience as a dental assistant or a graduate from an ADA accredited program.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Oregon Dental Radiation Proficiency Certificate required.
• Pit and Fissure Sealant Certificate (Oregon) within 6 months of hire.
• Expanded Function Dental Assistant Certificate (Oregon) within 3 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire.
• Final candidate must pass a clinical pre-employment skills test.
• Demonstrated competence in four-handed dentistry and infection control.
• Excellent attendance and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties permitted for a dental assistant under supervision and in presence of licensed provider.
• Assist in orthodontic procedures, take radiographs, and prepare/adjust equipment.
• Organize patient dental records and greet patients, ensuring comfort and rapport.
• Prepare, pass, and sterilize instruments; maintain clean, sterile operatory and processing areas.
• Enter and verify patient care information and support scheduling and exam flow.
