Job summary

Benevis is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. You will help educate patients, prepare exam rooms, take x-rays (where permitted), and ensure sterilization and safety protocols are followed.

The role emphasizes teamwork, community involvement, and delivering high-quality dental care in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• X-ray certification preferred according to state practices.
• Certified dental assistant credentials preferred according to state practices.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus (location dependent).
• Commitment to integrity and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Guide parents of minors and patients through our processes before treatment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Take x-rays and save to patient charts (location dependent).
• Ensure hygiene bay and operatory rooms are ready for use.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and mix materials.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs and rooms.
• Assist dental staff during treatment and document patient information.
• Assist with suctioning, retractors, and sutures during procedures.
• Pour, trim and polish impression casts; fabricate custom trays.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
