Job summary

Centurion Health is looking for a full-time Dental Assistant to join the team at Hancock State Prison in Sparta, GA. This role involves assisting the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist with chairside dentistry, preparing instruments, and various administrative tasks.

Potential candidates must have a high school diploma, complete a dental assisting program or have relevant experience, and be eligible for a Georgia DA license. Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must maintain current tuberculosis screening documentation.
• Ability to successfully perform chairside assisting.
• Capability to handle administrative tasks in a dental setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with chairside dentistry under supervision.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments.
• Maintain the dental operatory.

Skills

High school diploma or equivalent

Technical school program in dental assisting

Georgia DA license

Certification as expanded duty dental assistant

Experience performing dental x-rays

Active CPR certification

Ability to obtain security clearance

Education
