Job summary

Benevis is hiring a Dental Assistant in Topeka, KS. The role supports the office across Ops, OS, Endo, and Hygiene with front-to-back clinical duties and patient care. Schedule: Mon-Thu 8-5, Fri 8-noon, plus 1 Saturday per month; 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• X-ray certification preferred per state rules.
• Dental assistant credentials preferred per state practices.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus (location dependent).

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Guide parents of minors and patients through our processes before treatment.
• Educate patients in oral hygiene instructions and provide postoperative instructions.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Take x-rays and save to patient charts (location dependent).
• Ensure hygiene bay and operatory rooms are ready for use.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs and rooms.
• Assist dental staff with treatment and document patient information in charts.
• Assist with suctioning, retractors, and suturing during procedures.
• Pour, trim and polish impression casts; fabricate custom trays.
