Job summary

HTU in Topeka, KS is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians with chairside care, patient records, and standard dental procedures. You will help expose X-rays, record histories, and assist in daily clinical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Expose dental diagnostic X-Rays.
• Record treatment information in patient records.
• Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
• Clean teeth using dental instruments, including cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
• Apply a protective coating of fluoride to teeth.
• Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
• Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
• Pour, trim, and polish study casts.
