Gainesville Smiles Dental Care is seeking a Dental Assistant with 1+ year of dental experience to join a collaborative Heartland Dental team in Gainesville, VA. You will greet patients, review health history, take x-rays, provide four-handed chairside assistance, and manage scheduling with Dentrix while upholding safety and HIPAA standards.

The role emphasizes patient education, efficient workflow, and ongoing training within a supportive 20+ year Heartland network.

Formación

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and data safeguarding requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and place orders; support office workflow.
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
