Job summary

Community Health Partnership of Illinois (CHP) in Kankakee is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dental team. You will work closely with dentists and clinical staff to deliver welcoming, high-quality care to diverse patients.

We welcome experienced assistants as well as graduates from dental assisting programs or related clinical experience who are eager to grow. Bilingual Spanish/English candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental assisting or completion of a dental assisting program.
• Familiarity with instruments, infection-control practices, and sterilization procedures.
• X-ray qualification/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during dental examinations and procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.
• Assist with dental X-rays in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Take dental impressions and assist with other laboratory procedures.
• Help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.

We are looking for a compassionate and dependable Dental Assistant to join our Kankakee dental team. In this role, you'll work closely with our dentist and clinical team to provide welcoming, high-quality care to patients from diverse backgrounds.

Experienced Dental Assistants are encouraged to apply, and we also welcome candidates who have completed a dental assisting program or have relevant clinical experience and are eager to grow their skills.
