Job summary

LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans is seeking Dental Assistant 1 or 2 to provide chair side support to a licensed dentist and to train dental students in four-handed dentistry across multiple specialties. The role reports to the dental assistant supervisor and supports the Emergency Dental Clinic and General Practice Residency Program.

The position requires no prior experience or training and offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at 1100 Florida Ave, New Orleans, LA.

Qualifications

• Chair side assistance to dentists and students in various specialties.
• Instruct and evaluate students in proper four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Maintain and stock cabinets and chart patients in LSUSD systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and dental students with chair side treatment of patients.
• Maintain and stock cabinets.
