LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans is seeking a Dental Assistant 2 to support dentists and students across specialties, including Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, and Prosthodontics. The role involves chair side assistance, charting, and patient care in a busy clinic.

One year of dental assisting or related training is required. The position offers a classified appointment from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, at 1100 Florida Blvd, New Orleans, LA.

Formación

• One year of experience or training as a dental assistant or dental hygienist.
• Chart patients using Axium computer system.
• Willingness to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Responsabilidades

• Assist dentists and dental students with chair side treatment of patients.
• Maintain and stock cabinets.
• Instruct and evaluate students in four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Chart patients using LSUSD Axium system.
• Provide fluoride treatments as directed by dentist or student.
• Provide post-care instructions as directed.
• Place rubber dam as directed.
• Remove cement supragingivally from restorations.
• Maintain general computer knowledge.
