Job summary

Triad Kids Dental in Winston-Salem is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. You'll work chairside with dentists to support high-quality patient care, take and process X-rays, and help prepare and sterilize instruments, ensuring a welcoming experience for children and families.

Requirements include a DA certificate (CDA/DA I/DA II) and North Carolina radiation certification or DANB certification.

Qualifications

• DA Certificate (CDA, DA I or DA II) required.
• North Carolina Radiation Certification or DANB Radiation Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Work chairside with dentists to support high-quality patient care.
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Assist with procedures including impressions, extractions, and fillings.
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene.
• Review medical histories, take vitals, and update records.
• Help children feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
• Provide post-treatment care instructions to patients and families.

What You’ll Do

• Work chairside with dentists to support high-quality patient care
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Assist with procedures including impressions, extractions, and fillings
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene (brushing, flossing, nutrition)
• Review medical histories, take vitals (blood pressure and pulse), and update records
• Help children feel comfortable and confident before, during, and after treatment
• Provide post-treatment care instructions to patients and families

Position Requirements

• North Carolina Radiation Certification or DANB Radiation Certification

$18 - $24 an hour
