Job summary

The Smilist Dental in New Jersey is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our team. You will assist doctors, maintain a sterile operatory, and prepare trays for procedures while keeping patients comfortable and informed.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, an active NJ x-ray license, and familiarity with dental instruments. Dentrix is a plus. Competitive pay and benefits are offered, with weekday full-time schedules in Rancocas, NJ.

Qualifications

• Active NJ X-ray license required.
• Minimum 1 year of Dental Assistant experience.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and procedures.
• Dentrix experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on treatment and address their concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile operatory and assist doctors during procedures.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and manage supply levels for each operatory.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must hold an active NJ x-ray license
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule:Full Time - Monday through Friday - no weekends!
• Salary Range:$22.00-$28.00/hour
• Location: Rancocas, NJ
