Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, assist during procedures
• Welcome and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, maintain models
• Follow infection control protocols, maintain confidentiality, ensure safety
• Maintain patient records and assist with scheduling and intake
• Manage dental and medical emergencies, maintain CPR certification

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program, or
• Six months of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation

• X-Ray certification
• Nitrous Oxide certification (highly recommended)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
