Baystate Dental - Westfield is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant in Westfield, Massachusetts to support our clinical team by delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Position Overview:
As a Dental Assistant, you play a vital role in assisting our dental professionals and supporting our mission to provide excellent dental care within the community. We value teamwork and genuine care for our patients. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including scheduling and intake.
  • Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
  • or
  • Six months of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation

Additional certifications such as X-Ray and Nitrous Oxide are highly recommended. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. All assistants must maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as mandated by law.
