Job summary

North American Dental Group's Corner Dental in Toledo, OH is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. You will provide chair-side support, prep patients, assist dentists, and maintain asepsis.

The role emphasizes patient education, accurate charting, instrument sterilization, radiographs, and adherence to OSHA/HIPAA rules. A dental assisting certification and CPR are required; new graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Certification in dental assisting and CPR required or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific) required.
• 1–5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting and patient education.
• Record patient health histories and document entries under the dentist's direction.
• Set up trays and instruments according to the daily schedule and procedures.
• Prepare patients, sterilize and disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis per OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including radiographs exposure and development.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and related safety requirements.

Your Work Schedule

Tuesday: 7:45am-5:00pm

Wednesday: 7:45am-5:00pm

Thursday: 7:45am-5:00pm

Friday: 7:45am-3:00pm

Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You’ll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
