Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant at Corner Dental in Sylvania, OH. You will work closely with the dentist to prepare patients, assist in restorative procedures, and maintain rigorous infection control standards.

The role requires certification in dental assisting, radiography, and CPR, with 1–5 years of relevant experience preferred but open to new graduates. Proficiency in MS Office and a commitment to patient education are essential.

Qualifications

• Certification in dental assisting (or equivalent on-the-job training).
• 1-5 years experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• Radiography/X-ray certification and CPR current.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

Your Work Schedule

Monday-Frday: 7:45am-5pm

Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You’ll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.
