Baystate Dental in Sturbridge, MA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team with treatment and patient care in a team-based environment.

Candidates must complete a one-year accredited program and hold X-ray certification; a High School diploma or equivalent is required. OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training are expected annually.

Qualifications

• One-year certified dental assistant program completed.
• X-Ray certification attained.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training is expected by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
