Job summary

The Dental Center of South Bend (Adult Care) in South Bend, IN is hiring a qualified Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. You will support dentists during procedures, prepare treatment rooms, take X-rays, and ensure clean, sterilized environments for every patient visit.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of hands-on dental assisting experience, a current X-ray license, and strong communication skills to help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout appointments.

You’ll assist with dental procedures, maintain a clean and organized treatment environment, and help ensure each patient has a positive experience.### Key Responsibilities* Assist the dentist during dental procedures and treatments.* Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment.* Take dental X-rays as needed.* Maintain proper sterilization and infection control protocols.* Help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their appointments.* Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.* Work closely with the dental team to support efficient office operations.### Qualifications* **At least 1 year of hands-on dental assisting experience required.*** **Current X-ray license required.*** Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) experience preferred.* Strong communication and patient care skills.* Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and infection control procedures.* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.### Schedule* Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM* Friday: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM**Location:** 919 E.
