Main Street Children's Dentistry and Orthodontics in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team and provide high quality patient care. This role requires X-Ray certification and a one-year certified dental assistant program, with emphasis on patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
• 1 year on-the-job-experience
• X-Ray certification - required
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended

• Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and infection control training as required by law

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Assist dentist in managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
