Job summary

Swish Dental in San Antonio, TX seeks a motivated Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team. The role supports the dentist, prepares patients, and ensures sterilization and room turnover with a patient-first approach.

Qualified candidates communicate well, have a dental assisting certificate, and can travel if needed. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and a positive, family-friendly work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate of Completion from a dental assisting program required.
• Texas RDA license required after 1+ years of certification.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Perform dental radiographs (x-rays) and scans.
• Document baseline patient information.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and patient rooms.
• Provide exceptional patient care throughout their visit.
• Take impressions of patients' teeth.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain a "team first" and "patient first" mentality.
• Continuously increase dentistry knowledge and job skills.
• Adhere to State, Federal, and local compliance standards.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Perform dental radiographs (x-rays) and scans
• Document baseline patient information

Required Skills And Abilities

• Fluent in English; verbal and written
• Familiarity with dental terminology
• Ability to travel to other locations as needed
• Basic computer skills

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certificate of Completion from a Dental Assisting Course required
• Texas RDA License required after 1+ years of certification
• CPR and/or BLS certification required

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• This position may be required to sit or stand for long periods
• This position may be required to work more than 40 hours per week
• This position is in a clinical studio environment which can be noisy and distracting
• This position may be exposed to infectious diseases and/or blood borne pathogens
• This position may be required to handle sharp objects
