Job summary

Swish Dental in Houston, TX, is seeking a motivated Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team. The role involves assisting the dentist, capturing x-rays, preparing and sterilizing items, and ensuring excellent patient care.

Required are a high school diploma, completion certificate in dental assisting, CPR/BLS, and Texas RDA licensure after certification. The position is full-time with potential travel to other locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate of Completion from a Dental Assisting Course required.
• Texas RDA License required after 1+ years of certification.
• CPR and/or BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Perform dental radiographs (x-rays) and scans.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and patient rooms.
• Provide exceptional patient care throughout their visit.
• Take impressions of patients' teeth.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain a “team first” and “patient first” mentality.
• Continuously increase dentistry knowledge and job skills.
• Adhere by State, Federal, and local compliance standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Perform dental radiographs (x-rays) and scans

• Familiarity with dental terminology

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• This position may be required to sit or stand for long periods
• This position may be required to work more than 40 hours per week
• This position is in a clinical studio environment which can be noisy and distracting
