Location: 11938 Curley Street, San Antonio, FL 33576

San Antonio Dental Care is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team.

Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm and Friday 8:00am-1:00pm. No weekends!

Role Responsibilities

1. Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education during treatment.
2. Review patient health history for quality care.
3. Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments.
4. Assist dentists chairside during procedures, following state dental practice laws.
5. Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
6. Prepare treatment rooms, adhering to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
7. Manage supplies and inventory, including placing orders.
8. Collaborate with team to implement systems and improve workflow.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle PHI securely, with HIPAA training.

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 year in a dental setting.
• Experience with Dentrix or similar software.
• Dental assisting school certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations.
• Prolonged sitting and standing.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Availability for periodic training sessions.
• TB test required prior to employment, except in FL & TN.
