Job summary

Family Dentistry in Short Pump, VA is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to join a small, non-corporate practice. You will greet patients, prepare treatment rooms, set up instruments, assist the dentist in four-handed dentistry, and help with basic lab tasks while ensuring patient comfort.

Office hours are Monday–Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The role includes PTO, paid holidays, retirement, medical and dental benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dental assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• X-ray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in the dental office.
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort.
• Set up instruments, equipment and materials needed.
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry.
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed.
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked.
• Schedule appointments.
• Maintain patient records and assist with payments.

We are looking for a Full-time Dental Assistant

This is a single Doctor's office in Short Pump, we are NOT a Corporate office. We are looking for a team player, someone that works well with others, and has excellent customer service.

Office hours are Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Pay ranges from $20-23/hour. Full-time position includes PTO, paid holidays, retirement, medical and dental benefits. Position currently available.
