Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers to the dental office.
  • Prepare customers for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort.
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed.
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
  • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry.
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed.
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
  • Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures.
  • Assist dentists in the management of medical and dental emergencies.
  • Gather and record medical and dental histories, as well as patient vital signs.
  • Maintain dental equipment inventory and order dental supplies.

Job description

For our busy dental practice, we’re looking for a dental assistant. You’ll assist with patient preparation, sterilization of tools, room setup, and some dental hygiene activities. You should have a dental x-ray certification and provide excellent patient care to succeed in this position.

Dental assistants should be well-organized and meticulous in their work. You should be able to follow directions and adhere to the rules of the dental practice. We want you to be capable of delivering direct or indirect patient care and ensuring that office procedures run smoothly.

Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Welcome customers to the dental office

  • Prepare customers for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort

  • Competitive Pay: $20-27 /hour (Based on experience and skill level)
