Dental Assistant

Dental Care on Lone Mountain is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team.

  1. Join a 7-person team that thrives on collaboration, communication, and community.
  2. Full-time schedule.

  4. Location: 11749 W Lone Mountain Pkwy Unit 100, Peoria, Arizona 85383.

Preferred Experience

  1. 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
  2. Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
  3. Dental assisting school certification and Radiology Certification in AZ required.
  4. Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  5. Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  6. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  7. Access to minimum PHI necessary for job functions; regular HIPAA training required to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.

  1. Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
  2. Review patient health history for quality care.
  3. Take and process X-rays and other assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
  4. Assist dentists chairside during procedures following state dental practice act.
  5. Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
  6. Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
  7. Manage supplies and inventory, place orders as needed.
  8. Partner with team to implement systems and optimize workflow.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
  2. Prolonged sitting and standing.
  3. Lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
  4. Attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically.
  5. A TB test is required prior to employment, arranged during pre-employment, except in FL & TN.
