Job description

All In One Benso Family Dental is excited to announce an available position for a Lead Dental Assistant. We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and detail-oriented individual to join our thriving practice. This full-time role is essential in aiding us to continue providing superior dental care to our patients. This is an on-site position that requires the successful candidate to work directly from our well-equipped dental office located in the vibrant community we serve.The Lead Dental Assistant plays a crucial role in the management and operation of the dental practice. You will be responsible for overseeing the clinical team and ensuring that all dental procedures are executed with the utmost precision and care. We rely on our Lead Dental Assistant not only to assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures but also to provide leadership and guidance to other staff members. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct assistance to dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Supervise and train dental assistants and other supporting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Maintain meticulous infection control by adhering to and enforcing strict safety protocols and standards.Manage the scheduling of patient appointments to optimize workflow and resources.
  • Conduct inventory assessments and restock dental supplies while managing budget constraints.
  • Implement new systems and procedures that improve practice efficiency and quality of patient service.
  • Assist in dental radiography and lab tasks under the guidance of the dentist or licensed professionals.
  • Develop and lead educational initiatives for other dental assistants to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by keeping information confidential following HIPAA regulations.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are sterile and in perfect working condition.
  • Document dental care services by charting in patient records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Liaise with dental supply vendors to negotiate contracts and secure the best products.Handle patient inquires with professionalism, compassion, and patience, ensuring all interactions add value to the patient experience.Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Advanced proficiency with digital dental technology, including:

    • iTero scanner(digital impressions and Invisalign workflow)

    • Intraoral cameras(for case documentation and patient education)

    • CBCT scanner(cone beam computed tomography imaging)

    • Sprintray 3D printers (model fabrication and appliance printing)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as adental assistant.
  • Formal training from a dental assistant program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
  • Current CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Good time management skills to handle a variety of tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced knowledge and competency in dental procedures, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • High level of dedication to continuous education and improvement in dental practices and protocols.
  • Capability to maintain a high level of inventory and manage supplies for a large dental practice.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Adept at using computer software for patient management and administrative tasks.
