Job summary

Green Dental Care in Parker, CO is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join a fast-paced, patient-focused practice. You will assist the doctor chairside, prepare rooms, take radiographs, and help educate patients on care plans.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience.
  • Current X-ray certification (or ability to obtain per state requirements).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required.

  • Strong understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and patient education.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with dental software and basic computer apps.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentist chairside during procedures and ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Prepare, sterilize, and maintain instruments and operatories following infection control protocols.
  • Take digital radiographs and intraoral images as directed.
  • Record and update patient medical histories and treatment notes.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
  • Present treatment plans and discuss financial options with patients.
  • Coordinate treatment scheduling and move patients forward with care plans.
  • Maintain operatory cleanliness and inventory.
  • Collaborate with doctor and front desk to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Provide front office support as needed (phones, appointments, communications).

Position Overview

Green Dental Care is seeking a skilled and dependable Dental Assistant to join our team. We're looking for a motivated professional who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. In this role, you'll assist the doctor during procedures, prepare treatment rooms, take radiographs, sterilize instruments, maintain accurate patient records, and help create a comfortable, welcoming experience for every patient. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures while ensuring a comfortable and positive patient experience.
  • Prepare, sterilize, and maintain instruments and operatories in accordance with infection control and OSHA protocols.
  • Take digital radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral images as directed.
  • Accurately record and update patient medical histories, treatment notes, and clinical documentation.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment recommendations, and post-operative instructions.
  • Present treatment plans, review financial options, and help patients understand the value of recommended care.
  • Coordinate treatment scheduling and assist patients in moving forward with their care plans.
  • Maintain operatory cleanliness, organization, and inventory of clinical supplies.
  • Collaborate closely with the doctor and front office team to ensure efficient patient flow and an exceptional patient experience.
  • Provide front office support as needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and communicating with patients.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience required.
  • Current X-ray certification (or ability to obtain in accordance with state requirements).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Previous experience presenting treatment plans, discussing financial options, or coordinating patient care is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and patient education.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable discussing treatment recommendations and helping patients move forward with their care.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with dental practice management software and basic computer applications.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
