Job Profile: Dental Assistant

The Opportunity
This role offers a unique opportunity to support the Heroes who actively serve the children and young people in our communities by improving their overall health and well-being.

You Will Be Responsible For The Following
- Providing the best patient experience possible
- Supporting optimized schedules with effective open treatment calls and educating patient guardians on treatment importance and urgency
- Taking and assisting with diagnostic radiographs and intraoral pictures (periapical, bitewings, panoramic)
- Using dental documentation software to locate and manage patient records efficiently
- Providing behavior management following guidelines approved by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
- Maintaining a clean, sterile, and patient-centric environment
- Ensuring the practice is clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
- Complying with all relevant regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, Dental Board, ADA, etc.)

You Will Be Required To Possess The Following
- Experience working in a dental office
- Proficiency with hygiene and operative instruments and understanding their proper use
- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire for professional growth
- Organizational skills and a strong knowledge of dentistry

Physical Requirements
This position requires full body motion, including sitting, walking, standing, talking, hearing, handling office equipment, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
