Job summary

Chestnut Dental Associates in Needham, MA is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant (35 hours/week). The role offers $24-$39 per hour, based on experience, with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance from day one for eligible employees, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and more.

You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, take radiographs, educate patients, and ensure compliance with infection control and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Certified (DANB) or formally trained dental assistant preferred.
• Current X-Ray Certification required.
• Knowledge of infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment for patient care.
• Review patient charts, histories, and treatment plans before appointments.
• Assist dentists during procedures and maintain efficient clinical flow.
• Take and process dental radiographs and perform coronal polishing as permitted.
• Provide patient education and review post-operative instructions.
• Maintain sterilization, infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate scheduling needs to front office staff.
• Manage supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Participate in training, meetings, and continuing education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For

• Certified (DANB) or Formally Trained Dental Assistant preferred
• Open to training On-the-Job Assistant
• Current X-Ray Certification
• Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and infection control practices.
• Availability for one evening a week and one Saturday a month.
