Job summary

Chestnut Dental Associates in Needham, MA is hiring a Pediatric Dental Assistant to join a collaborative clinical team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, process radiographs, and help educate patients while maintaining strict infection control and HIPAA compliance.

We offer competitive hourly pay ($24–$39) based on experience, full-time schedule (35 hours/week), and a comprehensive benefits package including insurance, retirement match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Certified DANB or formally trained dental assistant.
• Current X-Ray certification required.
• Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment.
• Review charts, histories, and treatment plans before appointments.
• Assist dentists during procedures and maintain clinical flow.
• Take and process radiographs and perform coronal polishing as permitted.
• Provide patient education and review post-operative instructions.
• Maintain sterilization, infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate scheduling needs to front office staff.
• Manage supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Participate in training, meetings, and continuing education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For

• Certified (DANB) or Formally Trained Dental Assistant

• Availability for one evening a week and one Saturday a month.
