Chestnut Dental Associates in Franklin, MA is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support dentists in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring a safe, efficient, and comfortable experience for patients. Reports To: Clinical Supervisor.

You will work one Saturday per month from 7:45 to 1:45. Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms and instruments, assisting during procedures, taking radiographs, patient education, and maintaining infection control and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

  • DANB certification is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • X-Ray certification is required.
  • Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and infection control.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment for patient care.
  • Review patient charts, histories, and treatment plans before appointments.
  • Assist dentists during procedures and maintain efficient clinical flow.
  • Take and process dental radiographs and perform coronal polishing as permitted.
  • Provide patient education and review post-operative instructions.
  • Maintain sterilization, infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate scheduling needs to front office staff.
  • Manage supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Participate in training, meetings, and continuing education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

DANB Certification
