Job summary

Happy Smiles (Meridian), part of Kids Dental Brands, is hiring a Dental Assistant to join a kid-focused practice in Meridian, MS. You will work closely with dentists to deliver high-quality care, capture dental X-rays, and maintain instruments in a welcoming, child-friendly environment.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, education of families on oral hygiene, and creating a comforting experience that encourages regular visits and long-term smiles.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Mississippi Dental Radiology Permit required.

Responsibilities

• Work chairside with dentists to support high-quality patient care.
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Assist with procedures including impressions, extractions, and fillings.
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene (brushing, flossing, nutrition).
• Review medical histories, take vitals (blood pressure and pulse), and update records.
• Help children feel comfortable and confident before, during, and after treatment.
• Provide post-treatment care instructions to patients and families.
