Job summary

Hudec Dental in Mentor, OH is looking for a compassionate Dental Assistant who helps chairside during exams, sterilizes instruments, captures radiographs, and maintains patient records with a friendly, patient-first approach.

You will educate patients on care, support scheduling, and contribute to a collaborative team using modern technology to deliver care that feels like family.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred.
• Proficiency in taking X-rays and familiarity with imaging technology.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures; prosthodontics experience a plus.
• Experience using dental software (Dentrix or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment areas.
• Capture and develop radiographs; utilize digital and 3D imaging when needed.
• Update patient charts and treatment plans.

What You’ll Do

• Assist the dentist chairside during examinations and procedures, using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency


• Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment areas following infection control standards


• Capture and develop radiographs; utilize digital and 3D imaging when needed


• Support accurate record-keeping by updating patient charts and treatment plans


• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care in a clear, compassionate way


• Help manage patient flow and scheduling as needed to ensure a smooth, positive experience


• Contribute to a collaborative, professional, and patient-first environment

Your Qualifications
