Job summary

The Smilist Dental in Media, PA seeks a reliable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. You will support doctors, prepare patients for procedures, and help maintain a warm, sterile environment.

The position is full-time with rotating Saturdays; competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth are offered. PA X-ray license and prior dental assistant experience required; Dentrix experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Must hold an active PA x-ray license.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment and address concerns while supporting the doctor.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and prepare patients for treatment.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and manage supply levels across operatory.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
• Must have an active PA x-ray license
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude
