Job summary

The Smilist Dental in Academy, PA is seeking a reliable Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our team and support hygienists in delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, assisting clinicians, maintaining a clean, sterile environment, and coordinating patient flow. PA X-ray licensure and prior dental assistant experience are required; Dentrix experience is a plus. Full-time, Mon-Fri, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Must have an active PA x-ray license.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their hygienist
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the hygienists - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
• Must have an active PA x-ray license

• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
